Peace
In 2006, we elected a Democratic Congress specifically so that they could end the war and stand up to the Bush Administration. Since then, our District 22 Congressman has not lived up to that promise. That's why, as an Air Force veteran, I feel a special responsibility to help end this war, bring our troops home, and make sure that they get the education, jobs and health care they deserve after serving our nation.
As a baseball coach and small business owner here in the 22nd District, I have personally worked with some of your sons and daughters over the years. They are like my own four children. I do not want to see a single one of them fighting in a war that was begun with lies and which continues with no end in sight.
When I finished my military service, I was able to get the health care, job assistance and other benefits that each of our vets deserves. I will not rest until every returning vet gets the same.
