Over the last two years, Congress and the President have not done anything meaningful to fix our broken healthcare system. Our businesses continue to groan under the weight of private healthcare costs, and our families continue to pray that they will not have the one healthcare emergency that forces them into bankruptcy.
As a professionally-educated accountant, I understand the details of the national healthcare debate, and will make sure that the needs of the families and businesses in the 22nd District are well-represented in Congress. I will push for a genuine national healthcare plan that serves our needs while preserving our privacy. And, if you want to keep the plan you have, that's fine, too.
I am tired of hearing from family and neighbors that they cannot afford prescription drugs or are hesitating to get necessary medical tests because of our misguided national healthcare policies. As your Representative in Congress, your health and the health of your loved ones will be my top priority.
